Both, of course! And rightfully so, I don't think we often learn our lessons enough to stop either.

Oh I know I don't learn my lesson. I'm terrible at taking things to heart!

Ah, aren't we all.

If we learned all the lessons we were able to learn, what would be the good of the rest of our lives? Our very long, very immortal lives.

And worst of all, if we learned all the lessons we were able to learn, that'd make us boring.

[ He made a sound -- horrified. ] Perish the thought. Can you imagine how boring life would be? Us two old fools, only interesting enough to know how great we are for learning all of life's lessons?

We'd be completely insufferable—and, of course, boring as hell.

Ugh, just as boring as life is?
